okay so, i just finished up an IDENT for E4 for my personal project, and i actually quite like it, fair enough its not the best quality and its choppy and an easy over lay method, however with the funny voice over i would actually say it really works, i think its kind of funny and memorable, however it dosent quite fit how i detailed in my story boards, but i actually prefer how its came out, its kind of like a really nice accident.
the problem with the project is i didnt quite grasp it aswell as i would have hoped, i spent most of my time on making up a good portfolio especially tailored for 2d animation and character design for Hertfordshire university so my mind was really in two places and after thinking idents were fun for a while i realized pretty quickly that its not really what i wanted to do as such. dont get me wrong i had alot of fun making this and testing out little things like plaster-cine and paper cut outs although they never really helped me progress because i just couldnt get in touch with it.
so for my personal prodject its very much split into sections where ive started to grasp the project and the research and then left it to do my portfolio.
i know it dosent work like that but my profolio at this point is turning out to be just as much a part of my personal project than my idents, so thats why im going to do an evaluative talk through and talk about some of the feedback i got from some of the universities.
